CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: Magnesium-protoporphyrin IX 13-monomethyl ester + NADPH + O₂ = 13¹-hydroxy-magnesium-protoporphyrin IX 13-monomethyl ester + NADP⁺ + H₂O.
CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: 13¹-hydroxy-magnesium-protoporphyrin IX 13-monomethyl ester + NADPH + O₂ = 13¹-oxo-magnesium-protoporphyrin IX 13-monomethyl ester + NADP⁺ + 2 H₂O.
